“Cheep Antiques is a great store for finding the kinds of antiques that you just don’t find everywhere. “Darrell and Judee and their sons have put together an antiques collection that we and many other companies around town rely on for quality and dependability.” Richard Carrothers, President of The New Theatre.
Cheep Antiques is an excellent place to shop, and I love their new location in North Kansas City, where everything is displayed on one floor. Over the years, I have purchased a few pieces from Cheep Antiques, which I still have in my home today. However, more often than shopping there, they are my "go to" guys for restoration. The staff does high quality work and I am always amazed at how great the pieces turn out. If you have family heirlooms and would like them returned to their former glory, you can trust these people to get the job done. So, if you're looking for a new piece for your home or you need restoration done on the furniture you already have, Cheep Antiques is the place to go, they won't disappoint. 09/19/2008 Posted by Vintage4Me
I went looking for a wardrobe for my son's room. There was a lot to choose from at Cheep Antiques! They have a lot of beautiful European furniture! The people were very friendly and took a polaroid and the measurements for me so that I could be sure it would fit. Yippee! It fit perfect and looks wonderful! Cheep Antiques drilled the holes in the back so that I could put my son's tv inside and made some shelves also! It is beautiful and my son will get years of use out of it. They were very professional and very careful when it was delivered so that they did not knick the wardrobe or my walls. I was so thrilled, I went back and bought a pine wardrobe for my daughter's room! Organization was never so easy! Overall, it was a great experience. I will always go there first for furniture and I may have my kitchen table refinished there as well. 09/17/2008 Posted by kittie34
I loved this place because of the variety and prices. Most items would be twice as expensive in larger cities. A huge floor filled with armoires, cabinets, tables, chairs, beds, etc. Lots of stained European pieces. But not big and gawdy. (Although they have that, too). Very useful stuff for the average house). They also will redo pieces into entertainment units, shelving, etc. 01/19/2003 Posted by debra1999
